The aim of this policy is to ensure that colleagues who need or are contracted to work from home can do so safely and effectively, with the right equipment and protection of company assets. Please see the attached Home Working Policy, which was last updated in October

Roles and Responsibilities
- Colleagues: Abide by this policy when working from home.
- Line Manager: Support colleagues and ensure they have required equipment.
- ER Support/HRBP (Ops): Provide advice to colleagues and managers.
- HRBP (PST): Provide advice to colleagues and managers.
Definitions
- Home Working: Undertaking your role wholly or partly from home.
- International Working: Working from a country outside the UK.
Home Working Environment
Your home office or workstation should be suitable for your role and time spent working. Key requirements:
- Desk and chair at correct height for comfort.
- Adequate lighting to avoid eye strain.
- Private workspace to protect company data.
- Secure, password-protected Wi-Fi with sufficient bandwidth.
- Minimise background noise during calls.
- Company provides laptop and necessary peripherals (screens, headsets, keyboards).
- Desks and chairs are not provided by the company.
Confidentiality
Maintain confidentiality as you would in the office:
- Prevent casual observation of screens.
- Ensure private conversations.
- Securely store documents; apply clear desk policy.
- Shred or dispose of documents in confidential waste bins.
- Handle personal and payment data with care (PCI standards apply).
Keeping Data Secure
Always follow the Cyber Security and Acceptable Use Policy.
Keeping Equipment Secure and Operational
- Lock away equipment when not in use.
- Do not install unauthorised software; request IT assistance.
- Restart laptop weekly for updates.
- Use only Stonegate-provided devices for system access.
Getting Help
For assistance:
- Contact your line manager for setup issues.
- Contact IT for technical help (except Wi-Fi issues – contact your provider).
International Working
Stonegate is UK-based and does not support long-term international working. Exceptions include:
- Supplier/contractor meetings.
- Supplier incentive trips.
- Company-organised events (e.g., Superstars trips).
Other requests must be reviewed by your line manager, Leadership team, and HR. Working abroad to extend annual leave will be declined.
